VERY nice trio of photo's Ken - just got my 50-200mm; nice lens :)

Do you think this same shot could have been made with the 40-150mm lens? I love yours!

....thanks very much. It is, as you say, a very nice lens. I find it beautifully balance even when stretched out to 200mm. I used it exclusively for the two attempts at sports photography that I have made and found it superb. Admittedly the recent images (as posted on this site) have the advantage of IS on the 510, but the images taken with a 500 last year in a miserable day were also very good. It also has a nice bokeh, see my image http://myolympus.org/document.php?id=12000
It also makes a pretty good lens with the addition of the EX-25 extension tube - but as we see here, pretty good for semi-macro work if shot at SHQ and cropped :-)

Thanks for the appreciative words. Yes, you could produce something tlike this with the 40-150 (which version do you have?). You may have to crop a little more as the 50-200mm has a maximum image size 0.21x whereas on the new 40-150mm it is only .14x and on the older (E-500) version it is .12x. You could get closer by buying an inexpensive 1 or 2 dioptre close-up lens (not 'close-up filter' as some call them).

The best way to see what your kit can, though, is to give it a try. Unlike when I was a young man, when every experiment cost money for film and processing as well as the frustrations of waiting to see results, digital photography costs nothing to experiment and results can be view instantly. Give it a bash, Paulo, and let's see your results on the site.

Thanks for the tip Ken! I will be on the look for that extension tube, I need to buy a macro lens as well since I love that type of shots.
I am using the Zuiko 40-150 (http://www.olympus.co.uk/consumer/dslr_ZUIKO_DIGITAL_40-150mm_1_3_5-4_5.htm), I will also need to buy a wide angle 14-45 or so, I don't have much money available so I am buying every accesory as I can slowly, I guess that's how many of you began :)
