Great Crested Grebe (3) - re-visited:

This is a wonderful shot; it's sharp and nicely composed, though it may be just a wee bit under-exposed ~1/3-1/2 f-stop (?).

The 510's image stabilization must really work, or did you use a tripod for these two shots of the grebes? I'm not that familiar with this species; they're rather regal - once their adult plumage develops that is.

Hi leon
Thanks for the comment on to the Grebe,
I was shooting her and the chick and at one time she ended up so close for the lens that I had problem to fit her in ...
Yes I was shooting with the Tripod , but at this time I had to lift the tripod + ED300mm way up in the air to get her in the frame.
Never thought the shot would be good ....;-))
A little underexposed , yes I agree .....the sunlight on the water and the dark Grebe ....the reason for it I guess..;-))
Best regards..............Fons
