This is my first attempt at photographing an insect. She was very obliging and stayed on the Fuschia for some considerable time whilst I snapped away!

Excellent first attempt

Was this hand held or did you use a tripod? Looks almost too sharp from head to toe! Very good first attempt puts some of the more professional users to shame.

Thanks, Simon for your comments and rating. The camera was hand held. I was very lucky to get the shots I did as it was fairly breezy and I had to wait quite a while to get it as still as possible. To be honest, it was probably more by luck than design and a decent camera, of course!
