Spyder in the Garden - re-visited:
Nigel -
Thanks for the kind words and rating. As for the tripod - no; left it at home again, and just like the dragonfly and butterfly I posted earlier today, this image is a 50% crop and still reasonably sharp - hand-held. Love the lens but I'm still looking forward to getting the 50-macro and the 1.4 tele-converter.
Regards -

NO SUBJECT
As Nigel already said "great shot" you don't need a 50mm macro ....HA,ha...
If you need one why don't you go for the Sigma 150mm macro ...?
Cheers......Fons

Thanks so much. I was really fortunate to have caught this critter in the corner of my eye, and then it was good enough to cooperate with me for about five minutes or so.
Yes; I notice you use the Sigma 150 and get spectacular results; still, I plan on getting the 50 macro with the 1.4 t-c; this should be long enough for most of my macro shooting.
Unfortunately, my laptop is in need of replacement and I've already ordered a new one; it should be here soon. What this means is that I may end up getting the soon to be released Zuiko 70-300 (rather than the macro and t-c) - a moderately price tele-zoom with close-focus capacity. If this new lens performs as well as the 40-150 - optically speaking then I should be happy - at least for a little while. Of course, you know how 'lens lust' affects us otherwise 'normal' people.

Thank you so much; yes, this critter is quite colorful, no effort to blend in with the surrounding colors via camouflage, that's for sure.
