Thanks for your comments everyone. I don't know what it is, we don't have a big 'mushroom culture' like you do in Europe/America. Our climate here in Adelaide really isn't good enough to support a large variety of edible mushrooms, it's too dry. I know from having lived in Sweden that it's a big thing to collect mushrooms during autumn and there's so many different varieties!
