G'Day Fons!

Gracious; thanks for the kind words and the rating.

Regarding these birds - this is the first time in all my years that I've been this close to them; in fact, this time they came to me.

Whenever I've seen them before they've been at a great distance - not worth trying to capture, not even with a 300/2.8, like yours. It isn't that they're all that elusive; they've just never come this close, not until this Easter when they invaded a fruit tree right outside the kitchen window, very strange indeed. They came; they stuffed themselves; they left just like that, 30 or so of'm.

Fortunately, they let me crank off 100+ photos in that very short time. One thing's for sure, they are (imo) beautiful birds, far more so than blue birds and cardinals and the like. Of course, that's just my own opinion.
