Perfect DOF and sharpness (flower is completely in focus, background is totally blurred). Not the conventional flower shot, very creative idea to shoot a flower this way.

Superb idea, capture and processing. I may have to get the 35mm macro - it seems to be very high quality in a small, relatively inexpensive package.

Concerning the 35mm macro, I think you are right: it's a good lens. I don't use it very often, but each time I do,
I find it statisfying: it is light, well made with a metal mount. Has a good reactivity, no CA. Sure it can't rivalize with the multi-purpose qualified 50 f:2 macro, but it is rather sharp, 2/1 macro, not pricy at all, and even able to deliver fine delailed pictures in some kinds of architecture and landscape shots (a matter of view angle, indeed).
I never try it for portraying. I guess it is too short for that. But who knows ?

Vibrant colors

Victor,

I have taken a ton of flower pictures and none stand out like this one. Really enjoy the composition, sharpness and vibrant colors. Good work.
