A Macro shot of Cotton, my half Maine Coon and half Siamese cat. Focus was set on his eye to catch the wonderful blueness.

Cotton strikes a classic Hollywood portrait pose and flashes his baby blues.

An impromptu portrait, I noticed Cotton laying in the sunlight from the setting sun coming through the french doors acting as a backlight and "fur" light.

Cotton was laying next to a 5 inch reflector with a 250w @3200K lamp on a mini-boom.

I turned it on and used it as a key light.

I then turned on a home made soft box and set it 45 degrees camera right.

I did this to provide a little fill and to make Cotton's pupils get smaller to show his irises.

When I saw how his eyes glowed after that I about peed myself trying to to get back to my camera and position to take a shot!!! :-)

Fortunately he seemed fascinated by the soft box and kept staring at it. That let me get several shots.
