Joe Saladino	Barred Owl (2) While driving through Myakka River State Park in Florida with my car window down, I heard an owl hooting. I stopped the car, looked up, and saw this Barred Owl peering at me from it's lofty perch high in a tree beside the road. Luckily, I had my E-520 with a 300 mm lens attached and was able to get this one shot through my open window before the owl flew away.	Critters	09-Apr-2014
Joe Saladino	Barred Owl original image I am posting this photo to show how well the Olympus 70-300mm lens produces images. The previous post of the barred owl showed only the head of the owl. To produce that image, I cropped this image to show just the head. Even at ISO 400, the E-520 with the Olympus 70-300mm lens at 263mm focal length did a great job. The camera was supported on the edge of a partially opened car window (no tripod was used) and the shutter was triggered with the finger-release button.	Critters	11-Jul-2012
