Try to shoot the moon last night for the first time with the ED300mm Lens.
Any suggestions to take good moon shots are welcome. -

I want this lens :)
But now the new Sigma 500mm lens is coming out, with a teleconverter it will make it 1700mm equivalent lens! and i just cant wait, paying ?5000 for the ED is ludacrus when the Sigma is under ?1000.
Great picture purley for the detail captured thanks to the impressive zoom, good job.

Ben.....
If you had this lens , you would be very happy with it and not think about a Sigma lens at all.

Moon shooting
Thanks Tom for the comment and tip's for shooting the moon.
I will try out to use a PL filter next time when we have a clear sky, it's cloudy al over again...;-( so no pictures from the moon
this night).
I noticed that the moon is moving pretty fast when you look thru this lens.
Shooting at 1/30 is definite the limit , I have made some shot's with higher speed but then they where not as bright as this one.
With my old Sigma lens ( I sold it ) I had some good results also have a look at this:
Well any way , when there is a change I try and try again , it's always fascinating to see those craters on the moon's surface.
Again thanks and warm regards,

Great shot of the moon Fons, I love the orangey red glow. The Sigma 50-500mm is pretty good at moon shots too, I'd love to get the Zuiko 300 but it's just a silly price!
