A very interesting shot, it's almost artistic in style! like a B&W pencil or charcoal drawing.
Have you thought of trying this same image with the flower and the stem in colour and the remaining image in B&W, I have done similar shots, the impact is quite impressive.

effective style
I like the almost metallic sheen of the leaves. Was this shot b/w straight out of the camera or converted to b/w?

I didn?t applied any plugin effect; about the flower and the stem in colour i think it results very weel, but i don?t know how to do that, i think...i never tried.
