good blossoms. i never thought the name Sakura used in brands worldwide espcially for art items is really the name of the flower.

Thanks Fons. I was very lucky that my business trip coincided with the opening of the buds of the sakura trees in the
prefecture where I am staying. Different places have different "schedules" for optimal flower blossoms.

It was indeed a lovely spring afternoon when I took this picture. They have viewing platforms and bridges just for sakura :)

Thanks. The Sakura is the unofficial national flower of Japan. They even have flower viewing festivals called "hanami". They party from late afternoon until evening under these trees. It is believed that you will have good luck when sakura petals fall on you during hanami.
