I'm a big fan of panoramics Alfred, this is an excellent one you have included some foreground detail which gives depth to the shot and gives a sense of scale, fabulous view.

Distance to Lhasa? It's about 1:30h by car (60-80km). From the Lhasa valley (3700m) to the monastery it's 20-30 minutes.

It's a panorama stitch, that is why the perspective is like that. Or what specifically do you mean with manipulate?

Hi Alfred, I know the image was stitched. By manipulated I mean colours, contrast & Sharpness. It's a lovely image nonetheless, I was just curious.

The processing applied is actually quite simple:
- RAW conversion (with a certain choice of contrast, saturation, white balance etc.)
- panorama stitching
- some postprocessing to fill the gaps, typically by cloning parts of the sky in case the images do not overlap properly which often is the case with panorama sequences shot without a panorama head)

The sky has this variation of brightness due to the use of a polariser filter and the wide angle of view. Some people choose not to use a polariser filter for this reason.
