A beautifull picture Willem, good thing you looked back.

A few thinks I have to say:
Why ISO 400 , when I see the light there was an off to do with less.
The noise in the picture due off the high ISO is there fore to bad...
I think also the horizon could have a little rotation to the right.
Focal lenght 46mm on a 45mm lens ?

At last, keep on looking back and share your beautifull pictures with us..
Best regards,

Fons

Thank you for your comment Fons.
As fas as the ISO 400: I didn?t noticed until I was at home. There was a boat coming, so I was in a hurry. But I think you might be right. There are two other possibilities for the noise: circular aperture diffraction due to high F number, which tend to occur with the lenses or loss of sharpness due to jpeg-compression. For me a lot to learn anyway. Suggestions?
About het rotation a don?t agree with you. It must be an illusion because of the river?s bank. When you look at the ship?s mast ik must be straight!! Just a law of hydrodynamics :-))
Yes, the focal length.....when I filled in the form on this site with EXIF data, it was asked to give the focal length as an 35mm equivalent. In fourthirds it is of course 23 mm!!

Love this kind of discussions!

A very beautifull picture of our dutch landscape.
The rainbow is very good in colors. Never worked with me.
Cropping is fine and the iso 400 will not bodder me at all.

About the horizon!!

The ships mast can only be straight if the boat is loaded perefectly in balance. We do not know that, so i should never trust on the straight mast to guide the horizon!
The rope of the anker can also be to short, and thus pulls the boat down to one side only.
Even some wind, a few metres higher can blow it a few degrees off!

Greetings Fillip

Fillip,
Thank you for the comment. I must admit that you can be right about the mast considering the balance and wind.

About the right horizon .....

If there is a reflecting water surface as in this foto it is rather easy to determine if the foto is in the right horizontal level !
Connect two coresponding points (picture point and its reflected point) with a "line" ! If this line is parallel to the frame left or right) the picture is leveled corectly !

Autumn

It is a bit too noisy (ISO?), but otherwise a very nice image.

Nice composition

I like the way you composed the shot and the mirror image of the rainbow is very nice.
