Wasp
Sharpness is excellent Fons, a bit of fill-in flash would have helped bring out the detail in the shadow areas. This is a hovver fly though, quite harmless no sting.

I think it is time to buy myself a insect and bugs/beetles book to look up all the names . I am not familiar with all those names yet.

Hovver Fly
Some insects are very confusing because they look like different types of insect, presumably as a form of defense. The hovver fly that looks like a bee often confuses me unless I look really closely.
