Fons, if it's one thing I realize? You spend alot of time and really know the behavior of these birds, I see you burning the candle on both sides (shooting day and night), one question, what kind of light source was there availible? your exif read ...f5.6 at 1/80 sec no flash or was it total darkness,despite the low light I'm seeing good detail in the wing's, what's your tirck if any? and very good job judging from the condition's you were shooting under.

Light conditions

Sorry Kerland , I forgot the fill in the flash at external. I used the Olympus Flash FL-50 , set to TTL autmatic. Also the optics from Olympus are very good , so there is no trick involved. Sorry again that I gave you the wrong impression here.

Swans

You have to be carefull Fons if the swans have young they will be aggressive if you approach too close. A swan can break your leg with its wing.

Aggressive Swan

Thanks for the warning Phil, What I do is when the swan makes one step towards me I backup one step and that seems to help. ( untill now ;-) ) Anyway I be carefull when I aproache them thats for sure....
