View from Ukko-Koli to Pielinen
Ukko-Koli in Northen Karelia in eastern Finland is the highest point of Koli rocks that are all what is left of the once lofty mountains after the latest glacial period. Not much of a mountain anymore but nevertheless it offers a spectacular scenery to Pielinen, which is the 4th largest lake in Finland. I visited this place the last time in 1973 with mum and dad. Both are gone now so this a sort of nostalgic trip for me. PS. It seems I should have sharpened this more for web use. It looks a bit soft on my display. The original before conversion is perfectly sharp.
