hard act to follow

When someone before you does something consistently that is excellent, then to have to display your works after them, means it is hard to get your work as appreciated, following someone who is better.

In this case, you've had this quality of image, but more room at the top and side to not make the flower look crowded. Just keeping up with your own reputation is work.
