Great shot, almost mystic. You made the best out of a grey day. When did you visit this place and where exactly is it?

Super, Super, Super, you have made that E-M5 work wonders Pekka...You have done this with every camera you have used. The colors, focus, all blend to make a perfect capture. I just know that someday you are going to be called upon to do a photo shoot for someone like National Geographic and make us proud to have seen your work first. Keep them coming Pekka, we enjoy every one of you captures...Dave

Than you. I was the in the end of October. Emeishan or Mount Emei is in Sichuan province about 3 hours by bus to south from the provincial capital Chengdu. I was there also in January 2008 so this was my second visit. The highest point is at 3100m and on a rare clear day one can see white peaks of over 7000m high Gongga shan towering 140km in west from Emei... and that is actually a beginning of Himalaya.

To Dave

Thank you! I was lucky with the weather and light ... and energetic enough to wake up before 5.00 AM to be on location at the right time. And also the fact that I had been here in January 2008 helped so that I knew which point of views to choose instead of wandering half aimlessly on summit area. I have noticed that most visitors just shoot the statue from close distance with usually friends and relatives posing in front of statue with their backs turned towards the thing that they have come to look at, so for the rest it takes just a little extra effort to find a different point of view.
