The 50mm macro does an excellent job, I want one.

Thanks for the comments Mark. The 50mm is a great lens. For use as a macro however, the subject should be fairly inactive (as this snail was) because you have to get pretty close for the shot. When I'm shooting other creatures like bees and butterflies, I use the 40 - 150 zoom lens and can make the capture from a comfortable distance without "spooking" the subject.
