Portrait of the ice...

I like your captures of Antarctica.
It's a pity with the Norwegian boat "Berserk" and the missing crew-members of Jarle Andhøy...

I love this picture, the contrast of the strong but simple sky against the busy repetitive horizontals in the sea make this a powerful composition, for me at least.
I am struck by the texture in the sea, it looks like "noise"? I don't think it distracts, I quite like it, but i am a bit puzzled.

Thanks for the feedback, and rating ... what looks like noise, a little icing on the surface that occurs when, or shortly before everything freezes up and we have solid ice. This can happen in just 24 hours.

Nice to hear that you like the pictures I post. Antarctica has many exciting adventures, but it can also be quite ruthless. Yes it was very sad what happened with the "Berserk" and the crew that are still missing, and most likely gone forever.
