They having a hard time finding food.....
Sometimes I see em flying over my place towards the river that is free from ice..
This one looks very healthy...
Maybe a little overexposing would have helped to bring detail in the dark parts ..
Anyway ....good shot ...!!

I take this photo in the shadow of a big building without sunlight:-(
The breast isn't dark, may be it was a young cormorant.
A few meters ago I saw a dead Common Gallinule, wintertime is very hard for the water-birds.
Next time I'll walking with the ED 300 ;-)
