Impresive shot. I can imagine what it would have looked liked if you had used ZD 150mm, or even ZD 50-200mm.
I think even with this, you could have acheived a sharper picture in f8.0. ISO 400, or 1/500s shutter speeds should had no adverse effect, I guess.

Excellent shot, the composition is very pleasing and I love how the background complements the owl's eyes. Very sharp too, makes me want to get out with my Bigma and try to capture some birds.

Thanks for your comments. I could have used a shutter, but it was very bright and due to de strong wind there was a lot of movement. That made other shots unsharp or just fragmentary sharp. A different apperture made the background too noisy and the owl less strong.... I tried different settings, this came out best....
