Also called Vanellus indicus by binomial name. Shot this bird at a nearby lake. Red fleshy wattles in front of each eye and long yellow legs are prominent features of this plover.

Hello Arun,

I guess this is a heavily cropped image, it's missing detail. I also see camera shake in this image. Perhaps you can make a better image with post processing.

Hello Wim,

This is a cropped image. You cannot get closer than 25-30 feet from this medium sized wader. It flies away. I used 'spot focusing' and this could be the reason why the sorroundings appear blurred. Anyways, I guess I have to start using a monopod though this is always not possible in cases where birds do not stay stiil.
