Sun rises at 09:15 so it´s still fairly dark in the morning when I hurry to work through the center of Helsinki. For those unfamiliar with Helsinki the bronze statue in photograph was erected for the Grand Duke of Finland Alexander II on the second half of the 19th century.

A crisp image enhaced by the blue sky. I guess the lens type should read Zuiko 14-54mm.

Thank you Arun. Yes you are right about the lens of course.
It´s funny that one can see the time of shot from the clock in tower. It´s 08:20 which was about
45 minutes before sunrise.

Well Pekka, I can only say what I have said so many times on your work. GREAT CAPTURES. Lighting always seems to be a priorty with you and it is perfect each time. Keep them coming and thanks for sharing...Dave

Thank you for you comment. Nice to hear that have paid attention to lighting:) It is indeed my main concern when photographying. One Finnish art photographer once wrote that (and many others probably share this opinion too), that if lighting is perfect one can shoot anything, no matter what the subject is, and everything comes out great if composition, point of view and technical aspects are in order. But if light is "dull" no matter how good the composition, point of view, sharpness are or what the subject is, nothing great comes out - only mediocrity at best. Also one Norwegian professional landscape photographer sain in one interview that he hardly ever shoots landscapes between roughly 9am and 4pm and has siesta instead.
