You can get a much better photo of Sacre Coeur if you are there in the morning around 8am (but perhaps also the evening will be fine) and if take the picture much closer to the church.
There is no need to show the staircase of the structures below - focus only on the church. The photo looks nice if it is taken from below the church with a blue sky as a background. Also shots of just the domes look nice.
