Flat Lighting
Hi Brian, interesting shot in that it shows a good relationship between the model, photographer and us the audience. However the flat umbrella/softbox lighting does nothing for me. This same set-up would be improved IMO by merely moving one of the unit’s closer/farther then the other and adding a hair light for separation from the BG. Also, as you have a very nice wide-angle lens on that E-3 it would be interesting to show what it can do! This subject matter would become much more dynamic and dramatic with a lower/wider perspective IMO. This shot does show promise though. Keep it up Brian. Regards, R.

Many thanks for the advice Randall - this was a quick shoot with limited time but I know what you mean.

I think what you have here is perfection!
Great shot and your lighting is unique.
If you do what other people tell you to do you will only go as far as they did. "Ansel Adams"
Do what you do!!

Cheers Denny - thanks for the kind words. I did like the expression on the model's face and I think the image look has more to do with the treatment I chose from Lightroom.
