Beersheba Valley Figurines
More of my carvings. These were modeled after the ones found in the Beersheba Valley. They were likely used in rituals, perhaps symbols of fertility. Originals were Hippopotamus and Elephant tusk. Mine were carved from MDF.

I like this picture very much - especially the way the background compliments the woodtones. I think the object placement is outstanding. It is me, or does it look a tad "noisy" ?

Thank you for your compliments Valorie. Noise like grain can be used for effect. Because of subject matter and the fact that these are shot for my taste and not a clients gives me a little more freedom to choose which tools I will use.

Figurines
A very good step from documentation picture to art picture.

Thank you Piero, I hit upon the idea a couple of years ago that instead of trying to sell my carvings, I would sell "art" shots of them. At first it was for note cards ECT, but will one day pursue poster sales.
