Then I'm surprised that there's so much motion blur. These birds must be moving really fast. You got a good combination of motion blur (the wings) and sharpness (the body of the bird).

I'm a bit surprised too,but i guess the reason is the bird was just taking off and didn't attain much speed as compared to the wings which was working hard for the lift off.
