Mike PADLEY Nobel at 490

Nobel at 490 was taken using the EC 14 Teleconverter before the MF OM Manual Adapter connected to a Tamron 350 SP Mirror Lens. One of a selection of OM lenses I am trying. I hate leaving good equipment in the loft! It takes a little getting used too having to focus again and a tripod is essential with a 35mm equivelant of 980mm!

Jens Birch Nobody can see me here Yellow wagtail (Motacilla flava).

The Yellow wagtail is a really common bird in the marshland where I use to go birding, but kinds of pictures are the result of taking it really easy when out. One have to be alone, walk slowly, not talk, and not get carried away by the distant ospreys or harriers but rather concentrate on the smaller common birds in the close vicinity.

This particular picture is quite smashing IMO. It got third position in a photo competition on the theme 'camouflaged birds' and it also recently got the majority of the votes in the MyOlympus foum contest on the theme "Yellow".		 Jens' Wildlife 21-Jun-2005

View from northern Norway not far from the coast of Arctic Ocean. The hill in photo is probably Haknalancearru - a strange whitish 618m high fjell (in Norwegian) or cearr (in Sami) or tunturi (in Finnish) which are the languages spoken in this area.

(I am afraid I oversharpened it for web too much...?)
