The key element you have drawn our eye to in this image Mike is the old rusty BBQ grill. For me, this focal point cries out to be manipulated so that it glows yellow hot. If you select the grill and pan as an object and then play around with its luminance and hue, it almost looks like it is too hot to handle. Regarding those cinder block lines, I would just make the vertical edges to the right of the BBQ plate vertical and leave the horizontal lines diverging. There are also some interesting blues in the shadows that could be brought out a bit. The diagonals of the stools nicely offset the oval grill. |

I can also imagine some further editing (are you surprised Mike?). I tried a few things but the best result I got was by dragging the histogram sections around as this image is pushed way over to the black side. This resulted in being able to see the pinstripes of the shed wall panels and see inside that paint-stained bucket on the left. It also made those holes in the squashed tub more obvious. The white material did not reveal much detail and stayed white. |

Agree with Greg but would add that some histogram corrections to lighten the image would enhance the wood grain in the background. I think I would do some cropping on this image to remove the left 1/3 of the image and all of the image below the lowest square black pot and the flower head lying on it. The lightening also brings out some more of the cobwebs. |

Despite the darker toning you aim for (I should have read your comments on this image before making my other (bright) suggestions, the pastel green of the the wheels pops quite well which highlights the newness of this abandoned 4-wheeler.
I decreased the brightness of the light block as you suggested and brought out some more detail under the seat. |

Absolutely agree with Mike and Greg about the cropping to reduce the distraction of the bright sky. There are many interesting details within the pile that would be more interesting if they were teased out a bit more. |

For me, the white bags are a distraction as is the 4-tyre group in the foreground. I tried a crop to exclude all along the bottom up to the edge of the tarmac / road and cropped out the right part of the 5-tyre stack. I used AI to remove the tyre intruding above the road area. Looked good and encapsulates Mike and Greg's ideas. |

I think that the two vehicles concealed in the foliage is pleasing and that Greg's crop enhances that. With the two complementary colours of red and green, the image balance is cleverly achieved. |

Lots of interesting items in your recycle collection Glenn.
To increase viewer excitement, perhaps get closer to something of interest like those printer cog wheels. I think we have all been challenged by this topic. |

For me, the central subject in this image is the discarded bird feeder so all of it could have been included in the image. The other textures in the image provide a background but the bird feeder is blended into that background so it does not stand out.
I tried a crop (right half excluded) and modified the colour of the bird feeder to a bluish hue which made the subject pop. |
