One of the blooms I found at the Lamberton Conservatory @ Highland Park in Rochester, NY. I used my Olympus OM 55mm f1.2 on a set of extension rings to let me focus closer than normal.

Fonzy - Bee-Eater

This species, like other bee-eaters, is a richly-coloured, slender bird. It has brown and yellow upper parts, whilst the wings are green and the beak is black. It can reach a length of 27-29 cm, including the two elongated central tail feathers. Sexes are alike. From Wikipedia

More of my carvings. These were modeled after the ones found in the Beersheba Valley.They were likely used in rituals, perhaps symbols of fertility. Originals were Hippopotamus and Elephant tusk. Mine were carved from MDF.
