It has been my experience that cranes are not terribly afraid of other animals, or people. They routinely walk the golf course I like to play at and seem to enjoy watching people play.

It does look like a heron. There are so many varieties of cranes that I thought it might be one, but it really does look like a Blue Heron now that you mention it.

a rare combination

It can't be very common to see a blue heron, lamb and ewe all in the same shot - and so close together!

The heron's eye is amazing - like a tiny yellow ring. Well done!
