Hi Fons, where did you get this shot? ... it's an Aust native, an Eastern Rosella (Platycercus Eximius). We actually have two Crimson Rosellas in an aviary and we sometimes get these Easterns visiting. They have a pretty range of songs and are about 30cm long, their range is from Sydney around the SE coast to Adelaide including Tasmania. I should really get off my but and try to get some shots of ours, being in our own yard I never think of it. We have to have a permit to keep them. All the best, Ingrid

Hi Ingrid,

Shot this at the local Aviary here in town...
I shot through the wires but you cant see them anymore because I had the lens just 1mm in front of it..
The background a white wall I replaced for the black and I added the moon as extra so it would like it was shot outside..
Like these colourful birds very much, if you have them in your own garden than it's about time you show us a few ...
GET TO WORK.....LOL

Best regards,
