Redwing

Hello Karen,

You did really well to get that close, where did you take it? Nice and sharp, unusual pose.

Kindest regards: Karen and Peter

Hi Karen and Peter, thanks for taking the time to have a look and comment on my photos. I just happened to be walking by when I heard rustling noises in the Holly Bush. Slowly crept closer and was delighted to see that a little Redwing was feeding on the berries. It didn't seem to mind me too much and let me get real close. Down at the river Deveron is a good place to see lots of birds and especially the Grey Heron, if he's feeling sociable! All the best, Karen.

Hi Fons van Swaal,

The Redwing is of the Thursh family but you can recognise it by the white stripe above its eyes. Thanks for commenting and looking.
