Wow, Fantastic.... Wonderful....what more i can said ??!! ... Ah .... I like very mucho the color of the frame ..is perfect with the picture and the angle of attack that you have used , the hoverfly looks like can jump outside the frame. I made some pictures about this beautiful insect some weeks ago. Congratulations!!

Beautifull with the soft colors Fons.
Usage of DOF is good. Body sharp, all wing parts unsharp.

Hi Fons, this certainly is an inspirational photo. I love the detail and clarity. I have the same camera/lens combo but haven't produced anything nearly as good as this. I think I better get back behind the viewfinder after seeing your great work. Congratulations.

Thanks for the comment at the Hoverfly(3) image...took this a while ago...(summer 2006)
These flies always arrive when flowers are in full bloom ..
You will have more change down-under to find beautiful insects to shoot ...
What brought you to my folder to look at these images...?
