My house is in the area above the Hall, you can see it quite clearly on the original at 100% but it is just a small blob at this size!!

Good to see another great shot of your back garden, I love the sky on this shot with its layers of cloud leading you into the distance.

nice spring panoscape

Ah the archetypical Steve Elliot landscape. A sharply focused, accurately exposed, well composed and appropriatly saturated image. Well done.

I came accros a gallery which may be of interest.

Check out the McCall Idaho series at original size for exapmles.

I believe his technique involves copying the background layer - converting to B/W via either a hue/sat or channel mixer adjustment layer - then blending using overlay and adjusting the opacity. The effect adds a slightly surreal drama.
