This is one of my wife's statues. I thought it deserved something more than a simple picture representing it and I tried to imagine something a bit special. The idea came to me looking at the still life pictures that many of you posted. It has been my first approach to this kind of picture.

Nice idea and good light.

I would have let the apple out since I find it too large / dominant and the colours might be more harmonic without it. may be the handkerchief would look nice in its place?

Piero ,
keep on comming with this kind of pictures I like them.
I agree with Udo about the apple, but I think dont get it out but cut it in half facing the inside to the lens.

Thank you, Udo , for your comments.
The basic idea for the composition was that the left group represented the main items you expect in the breakfast tray and near the statue the item you can find in the bedside table. This is only a schema and all schema can be changed.
Leaving out the apple and moving the handkerchief there should be a hole on the right I should solve moving the statue downward. This way the picture could be unbalanced at left.
I think that the only solution could be to find out a smaller item.
The colors of the apple are different from the ones of the statue and of the flowers, but this seemed to me a point of interest. Maybe I was wrong.
In any case thanks again. Comments like that are so useful to improve

Hi Fons,
if you see the reply to Udo you understand why it could be difficult to cut the apple. Normally you don't expect an half apple for breakfast. Remember the theme was "Awakening". A smaller item, perhaps a smaller apple could fit if this one is too much important.
I'll take it into consideration next time.
Thans for comments that are so valuable
