This 'brazen' moth was peeking in my living room window. A shame... some insects just have no modesty at all! The shot was taken through the glass (obviously).

good to see some of your pics again. I'm also glad it was on the other side, who knows what it would do to you if it could get in...

A great little picture showing something we never get to see without a very good macro. For the composition, I think it was a pity that you chopped some of the 'feet'. or you should have moved in further...

Moth peeking

I think this is a very good shot , thru the window still lots off sharpness . What is a triplet lens?

Thank you for your comments Jens and Fons. After I cropped to eliminate some vingetting and then saved it, I realized that I messed up the composition.

Fons, the triplet is an achromatic lens combination that Jens Birch discovered hiding deep inside an old SLR Sigma Zoommaster lens. When attached to an extension tube and the 5050 it equals a +33 diopter. For some truly eye-opening examples, go to Jens page.
