Technically it is one of the best images. The composition is almost the worst though. It looks cut off from under and with the tree right in the middle of it. It would be better to have the tree on one side (1/3 of the right) thus opening the view in the middle.

NO SUBJECT

Fair comments, but the rule of thirds has never been a strong point in my book. As for how to fram the shot, idealy I agree it would have been better as you say but sadly the constraints of the area wouldn't allow it. IE its on the edge of a cliff, a viewing platform is on the left and a brick wal to the right and finaly a great big fence in front. Idealy yes, the tree could of done with being to the side but this would leave the land way off center and the viewing platform that is on the right already taking up a large part of the screen. The crop you are after can be done in Photoshop but your soon find the shot just doesnt work. For me its my perfect Holiday Snap, shows the weather, the view and the lay of the land :)
