As indicated by Juliette and Scott below. The colours were originally too saturated. This was the only time I worked from RAW. As I'm colour blind I found it impossible. Too me the image as originally posted just appeared to have colours that were strong and punchy. I've dropped the saturation a little and reposted - all guesswork so I'll cross my fingers.

This is better, if it was me I would lighten it a tad more, might only require that to get more detail out of the face and slightly soften the green and blues now. They are closer, much closer to what I think of as real, or at least matching my colour blindness at what ever level that is!
