Bob,
If I had not read the technical details of the photo, I would have bet this was the result of a wide-angle (fish-eye) lens. At 600mm it is just the opposite. Both an interesting photo, and cloud formation.

It is one of those pictures I almost deleted from the LCD review. Glad I didn't, I like it.

Agree! I thought it was taken with the 8mm fisheye!
