Wow

Very, very nice. Was the lens set to the 9mm position (=18mm equiv. focal length)?

Alfred Molon at 20:25 CEST on 26-Oct-2010 [Reply]

Yes! 9-18 @ 9 i.e. 18mm EFL

Thanks for compliments!

Absolute Perfection

This is the most beautiful picture I have ever seen from this place. I tried it some thirty years ago with Canon AE1 and result was much darker and deformed. I like the way sensor controlled indoor lights and created a quite impressive reflections without disturbance. Almost no hollow darkness. What kind of filter did you use, if any?

Sam Foroutani at 21:48 CEST on 26-Oct-2010 [Reply]

Sam!

Well, 30 years is a long time!

No filter was used. In fact the only filter I have is Polarized (and nor for this lens) and have hardly used it. There is very little a filter can do at the instance of shooting that cannot be replicated in post processing. This picture is indeed post processed manually in LightRoom 2.6 to compensate inevitable deficiencies of the original copy (which was a JPEG).

Thanks for your visit .
